And Then We Both Look Silly...

OK, so I post some cute (a.k.a. "funny") pics of Rhonda on our blog, and she responds with a punch to the gut with a silly face I made on her phone.  In the interest of fun and closure, I present to you an equally silly face Rhonda made using our iMac, but then in fairness, I post a silly pic AND VIDEO of myself making silly faces using the iMac as well.  I hope everyone following these last three posts enjoys the show, this is either (1) true love or (2) what married people do for fun on Friday nights after they have kids... ;-)

Admit it, Apple Fans, you've all done this with the Photo Booth application...

And just like a sheep, I followed in Rhonda's footsteps...

My turn

If Jason can put up funny pictures, so can I! See what I found on my iPhone...

He never fails to make me laugh!

Blast From the Past

Going through some paperwork yesterday, I stumbled upon Rhonda's old college ID.  It was cute seeing her teenage self wearing glasses.  She has recently been growing her hair out again, and I was curious how it compared to her long, highlighted hair when we got married, so I went digging through the photo album. Here are photos from our honeymoon and another youthful photo of Rhonda and her grandmother on an Alaskan cruise.

A series of photos from our honeymoon in Ruidoso, NM in 1997.
Rhonda definitely had longer hair then, I'm enjoying her growing it out again.

The set of cabins that we stayed at in Ruidoso, NM.

Ah heck, why not end with a pic of your wife and her gun.
She and I both have 12-gauge shotguns, our daughters' future boyfriends
don't stand a chance when they come knocking at the door, we'll both be cleaning our guns.

Waiting, Waiting, Waiting

I preordered my iPhone 4 last week and the only option I had was to pick it up at the store. I went to pick it up and was amazed at how long the line was. Of course, I had the girls with me and luckily I had packed toys and snacks. We had nice people around us that held our place for potty breaks. We grabbed Chick-fil-a on a potty break and ate it in line.

Rylee played the leapster and Reagan colored. They traded off with the toys and stroller time.

They played with my phone and took pictures.

Six, yes I said 6, hours later we got my phone and headed home.
Was it worth it you ask...TOTALLY!!

Worn Out

This is what a morning at the sprinkler park and lunch at Chick-Fil-A will do to a three year old!

Frisco Splash Park

This morning the girls and I met our friend, Jill, and her four girls for a play date at the Frisco Commons Park.  They have a huge wooden play area and also this cute splash/sprinkler park.  Jill and I got to sit in the shade and visit while the girls played in the water.  It is nice because there is no chance your child could drown and the area is small enough you can see your kids at all times.  After about an hour and a half we headed over to Chick-fil-a for lunch and more play time.  We had a great time and as you can see from my next post, the girls were worn out.  Reagan was asleep in the car before we hit the tollway.  We will definitely be going back and best of all, it was free!

Even with other friends there, our girls played with each other most of the time.

Hair Cut?

As a mom, one of my greatest fears is the Rylee would cut her own hair (or as in my case, that her sister would cut her hair!)  I love Rylee's hair and have preached to her for a long time that scissors are only for paper.  After the great disaster that her room was in, Jason and I were helping clean it, and we found the strangest thing on the window sill behind Rylee's night stand...

When Jason asked her about it, she first denied it and then admitted she had cut her bangs just a little bit.  She was sorry and obviously had tried to hide the evidence.  Hopefully it won't happen again.
