Hlav's Visit

Uncle Blake and Aunt Ashley are here for a visit. They are in the process of moving from Hawaii to Tucson, Arizona. I can't believe I did not take more pictures than this!

We went to dinner at Babe's. It's always fun and Aunt Ally did the hokey pokey with the girls.

Choir Concert

Rylee's spring choir concert was tonight. She did great! She sang every word of the songs and did some of the hand motions.

Mommy anxiously waiting for her star singer.
Here she comes!
A little extra entertainment!
We had a little party in her room after the concert.
Mommy gets a hug. Of course, once again, no pictures of Daddy because he was behind the camera. Sorry, Jason.

Catching Up

After spending the morning getting my parents off, rearranging Reagan's room, and unpacking our suitcases, we went out for a fun family evening. We went up to Rudy's Bar-B-Q and had supper. The girls really like to eat there. They think it is fun to have your food on a sheet of paper instead of a plate! We then went over to Cold Stone for some ice cream. We enjoyed our time away, but we sure missed our sweet little girls! You can see them wearing shirts we got them in St. Augustine.

Reagan's Room

This is how the house looked when we got home from vacation! Just kidding! Blake and Ashley bought our dresser/changing table so my parents offered to haul it to Lamesa since they were in my Dad's truck this trip. So, we purchased a chest of drawers for Reagan's room. It was delivered while we were gone. My parents headed home and we set out to get Reagan's room settled. After much thought, we decided to move the bed. Here is the before shot (sorry it's messy!)

This is the wall that the dresser/changing table was on.
The end result.

St. Augustine - Day 4

We woke up this morning with great plans for a nice morning at the beach. But, the weather was not on our side today. We got up, packed our suitcases and checked out of the hotel. We headed into St. Augustine and had breakfast at McDonald's. I had planned to parasail today, but the wind was too high.

We drove to the lighthouse and decided we did not want to pay $18 each to climb 250 steps! So we took pictures and moved on.

We then drove to the beach and enjoyed the beauty of the ocean.
As you can see, it was a bit windy!
We enjoyed watching a guy try to use a surf board and a parachute type sail.
The happy couple!
We knew there were storms in DFW, so we thought we would just head to the airport and try to catch the 2:20 flight instead of our 6:30 flight. We called American and they said we should be able to go stand-by. So, we got there about 1:15 and got checked in. We then found out that 16 other people had the same idea and we did not make that flight. We had a nice, long wait ahead of us. We both had books, so we read. We then had a nice long meal at Chili's in the airport.
6:30 came and went and still no airplane. Our flight was coming from DFW and was late because of the storms. We finally left Jacksonville at 8:30 and got to our house around midnight. It was a rough flight and we are happy to be home and kiss our sleeping little girls goodnight.

We had a great trip. It's always nice to go away together and remember that we still really like each other and had a great time together. Thanks, Pa Pa and Gran for taking care of the girls and giving us a chance to get away. We love you and hope you'll do it again someday!

St. Augustine - Day 3

We got up fairly early today and headed to the Slammer and Squire club house. Jason really did not think he would be able to play golf today. We ate breakfast in the club house and talked about what we would do today if he did not play. I told him he should at least go hit range balls and warm up, then decide. This is a golf trip, so I would hate for him not to get to play today.
After warming up, he decided he could play. I'm so glad he did because we had a lot of fun today! We got paired up with two older gentleman who work at the course one day a week and then play for free 3-4 other days of the week. Sounds like a nice retirement plan to us! They were really sweet, fun guys. The course was really nice and the weather was perfect!

After golfing, we had lunch at the club house and walked over to the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Even though I don't play, I do enjoy the game of golf and also enjoy watching tournaments on TV. However, I must say, the Hall of Fame was pretty boring. We did not spend a lot of time there and here are just a few pictures. (I don't want to bore you, too!)
They did have an indoor putting green that Jason tried out.
They had a trophy room that was up in the tower and that was the best part.
The US Open Trophy.
The view from the trophy room.
Each member has a locker.
Here is a picture of our hotel.
After a full day of golf-related activities, we cleaned up and headed into St. Augustine for dinner. We found a Japanese restaurant and had a nice time. We are hoping for pretty weather tomorrow to spend some time at the beach, however, the forecast does not look to be in our favor. We'll see.
