We went this afternoon and had an allergy skin test done on Rylee. Since we are in the initial phase of the desensitation process, our doctor wants updated tests for his research. In September, she reacted at a Level 4 (on a scale of 1-4) for peanuts. Today, they did two tests and one was a Level 3 and the other was a Level 2. That gives us concrete evidence that the process is working. The staff was very excited to see these results. We then went and had blood drawn for another test and should have those results in a few days. It took sticks in both arms, but we got it done. She is her mother's daughter when it comes to blood work. She was very brave and still.

Our new goal is to work up to ten peanuts. We will increase one per week until we get to ten. This should give her the ability to eat peanuts freely. Rylee wants to be able to eat all her Easter and Halloween candy without us having to take most of it away. We'll keep you updated.
