For Rylee's 4th birthday, PaPa and Gran gave her a kite that she had been asking for a whole lot. She asked us everyday if we could fly her kite, but it was either raining, wet, or Jason was working late. Today was a perfect day -- 5-10 MPH winds, blue skies, and 70 degrees. The question was whether or not we could keep the kite airborne, and we passed with flying colors! Not a single nosedive into the ground!

Daddy got the kite up on the first try -- much different than when he was a kid!

Rylee gets to fly her first kite.

Rylee's kite had smiling hearts on it.

Daddy teaching Rylee how to work the kite string.

Rylee got to work the kite all by herself!

Rylee ran around the grounds with a huge smile on her face!

Working the kite back and forth.

Rylee was really concerned that Reagan would let go of her kite (but Daddy kept his hand on the string).

Rylee offers her advice to Reagan. I'm not sure Reagan was even paying attention to her!

Reagan loves the park.

Daddy and his girls!

Mommy got in on the action as well. She had more fun now than when flying a kite as a kid!

Mommy and Rylee had a great time together.

Rhonda looks beautiful in her U.S. Open cap.

Rylee ran towards the kite...

...until Reagan wanted another turn!

Daddy decided to let the string almost entirely out. It was WAY up in the sky (Note To Self: it takes much longer to roll up the string than it does to let it out).

Rylee watches her kite with the string let almost fully out.

Rylee and Reagan enjoy each others company (while Mommy and Daddy fly the kite!).

Reagan ran after Rylee all morning it seems.

I'm outta' here, man!

Reagan being Reagan.

Rylee learns that it is time to leave the park...

...she was awfully disappointed.

What a beautiful family day!! It is so much fun watching you guys making happy family memories. I remember flying kites with my dad, going to the store and looking at all the styles of kites and picking out the ones we wanted. My favorite was a box kite that I thought would never fly but Dad had no trouble getting it to fly. The girls are so excited! Love you all!
Very fun... and you guys are becoming quite the photographers. Nice composition on a lot of those shots. (Note to self: Must become master photographer prior to having children!)
Awww... these pictures are so sweet! I love how you can see the girls personalities in the pictures! And you both look great!!!
